STATEMENT
I cherished my meticulously crafted persona. I found us mischievously strutting around in a light voguish dress, desperately seeking to encapsulate sensuality. Once a bewitching guise, over time the persona transmuted into a gluey bodysuit, leaving a putrid scent as I struggled to peel it off myself in the evenings.
I am currently working in a concept of New Sincerity, embracing authenticity, vulnerability and pain of past experiences.
I want my canvas to be a celebration of surrender to the primal energy. I paint the intimate revisions of these moments, when I was stripped of pretence, deafened by the symphony of raw emotions.
My canvas is an ode sensuality, the antidote to pretence. A primeval force that can be harnessed to illuminate the darkest crevasses of our most vulnerable parts. A healing energy that should be weaved into the fabric of our reality A sensual force that creates a portal to experience a sexually charged connection with another person. We expand both physical and emotional boundaries to engage in an erotic interplay, choosing to embrace the polarizing dance of fear, desire, repulsion and remaining vulnerabilities, culminating in a life-affirming ecstasy.
While painting, I tentatively walk the line between my intuition and forethought. I strive to capture the fragility and the resilience of the human body, appreciating the integral vessels for the ethereal psyche.
